New Wine is all about equipping the local church to live and minister in the power of the Holy Spirit. However for 2022 Kapiti College and New Wine have agreed that the festival at Raumati is too difficult to run given Covid-19 constraints. The team has been working hard to create innovative, safe alternatives and wanted to write to you early to invite you to a different, shorter New Wine festival.
The great news is that over Wellington Anniversary weekend we will be running two 24 hour festival’s, starting at midday and finishing the following day. One at Whanganui and the other at Upper Hutt.
The events are at wonderful locations where we can pitch tents, run our many zone programmes, have a site full of worship and teaching and workshops and the very presence of God. There’s nothing more special that the people of God gathering to worship him, and we are committed to finding ways to do that this January, even in the face of Covid-19.
The dates are;
• Whanganui’s Big Day Out Friday 21st to Saturday 22nd January 2022
• Upper Hutt’s Big Day Out Sunday 23rd to Monday 24th January 2022
We encourage you to come and help build something that strengthens the local church, inspires all who come and builds great faith in a time of great uncertainty.
If you want to dive in really deeply do consider the team. You could “join the crew and come to two” with us. You just know it’s going to be fun!
God bless you as you head towards the end of what has again been a difficult year.
We hope to see you soon
