New Wine News – Big Day Out Festival, it’s on!

Happy New Year! Ngā mihi o te tau hou!

Hey New Wine family, 2022 is here and as always a new year means New Wine. But it’s New Wine with a twist; we’re having not 1 but 2, brand new Big Day Out celebrations. You’ll be able to head to either Whanganui on Friday the 21st to Saturday 22nd January or Upper Hutt Sunday 23rd to Monday 24th Jan (Wellington Anniversary weekend).

There’s so much off-beat in our world at the moment which means we’re going to extra lengths to ensure these all-age 24-hour overnight festivals will be refreshing, relevant and relational as God reveals more of himself to us. Come explore a new area of Aotearoa for an experience not to miss!

Like the rhythm of a pulsing heart, worship, teaching and ministry beat in the core of who we are. We’re excited to again have worship in all programmes including Rachel Dann leading Spirit-infused worship in Meeting Place. We will unleash some of NZ’s best speakers to teach and equip including Caleb Rowe, Grant Norsworthy, Martyn Day, Jasmine Fidow, Mark Johnson, Stephanie Johnston, Mike Burrows, Aaron Ironside and Richard Black amongst others.

Our invitation is to join in, soak in God’s presence as we deepen our faith together, and grow in our understanding of what an authentic Kiwi Christian life looks like in these dynamic times. By the time you add zone antics, God spaces, social time and workshops it’s going to be simply…unbelievable!

Things you need to know;
We’ve got the food covered. Whaaattttt?!?!? That’s right, from lunch on arrival to lunch the next day we’ve got it sorted.
Accommodation, we have the popular camping on-site available otherwise you can simply make you own plans.
Answers to our frequently asked questionsare here otherwise send us an email for assistance.

You’re wondering about Covid-19 and that’s natural…. so a couple of assurances;
1. As part of your registration, which you could do right now to help us with planning, we’ll gather vaccine pass information so we can help our country stay ahead of the Covid-19 situation.
2. You can register with confidence knowing should the festival be cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns a full refund will be offered.

We’re always looking for ways to lower any barriers to attending. For some, one of those barriers is financial and you may be the solution. How about help others out by gifting a Grace Box donation to your registration or even just donating to help New Wine achieve some of the massive mission this summer? Details here.  Do you need help? There’s no issue as we’ve had some donations already. All you have to do is register and fill out an online subsidy form.

Our festivals are a simple response to Christ’s imperative to us to gather and worship. We know our hearts ache to be together and worship. We know our kids long to meet up, sing and dance and learn. We know our youth are itching to gather and grow and play and get ridiculous. It’s what the summer is for. It’s New Wine.
