OUR PRESENTER – KARL MARTIN
You’ll remember Karl from the New Wine summer festival, and his books Lead and Stand. We also know him as the Senior Pastor of a church with a big vision, Central Church in Edinburgh, and founder of Cairn, a movement of mission and discipleship, involved in training and building relationships with churches across the Celtic nations. Karl is passionate about equipping, encouraging and releasing individuals in leadership, which is why we’re bringing him to New Zealand in June.
SATURDAY 29 JUNE TOPIC OVERVIEW
The day will include; • What defines us as Christian in a 21stcentury world as we consider the crisis we’re facing as terrorism, legislation, and public opinion work against the foundations our faith is formed on. • We’ll consider unity and tolerance, free speech and voices of influence, extremism and other labels, and how we navigate the life God calls us to. • Knowing what we carry, what we need to let go, and how to live responsibly, with purpose and whole heartedly in this victim culture. • Time to pause and learn some of the Celtic rhythms which sustained a people and influenced the world for hundreds of years.
