Volunteering to be on team is an amazing way to grow spiritually and learn new skills.
You’ll meet lots of new people and receive far more than you give.
Available for those working in Preschool, Kids Zone, Ignite, Blazing Ahead, Cutting Edge, Firewire, Living Room, Hospitality, Stewards or Admin.
It’s like a great big parcel beautifully wrapped with a ginormous bow… If accepted on to team the package deal with cover your Team Together costs, your festival registration cost, pre-festival food and happenings, t-shirts (if applicable) and an MP3 of the festival recordings (you’ll need to order it at the festival). Total value up to $348.
The cost? It’s up to you – pay as little as $90 or, even better, $50 if you’re an earlybird and pay in full before 30 November, and as much as the full festival cost. Anything you pay over this cost will be seen as a donation and so we’ll issue you an IRD donation receipt at the end of the financial year.
From meeting place hosts to administrators, teenagers to technos, servers to stewards, prayer people to packer-upers … there’s a place for everyone!
Preschool (ages 0-4) There’s no baby sitting service here. Crafts, games, play, stories and songs that little children can enjoy while learning more about God. Anticipated time commitment 8 hours a day.
Kids Zones (ages 5-10) Befriend, lead and encourage the children, get alongside them in small groups, pray with and for them, minister to them in the power of the Holy Spirit and encourage them to pray for each other. Anticipated time commitment 8 hours a day.
Cutting Edge (ages 11-13) If you’re zany and slightly mad then this is the team for you! You’ll serve as small group leaders helping with activities, facilitating discussions and praying with young people. Anticipated time commitment 8 hours a day.
Firewire (ages 14-17) Get alongside, lead and encourage the 14-18 year olds. Be prepared for late nights, to share the gospel and to pray for the youth in the power of the Holy Spirit. Anticipated time commitment 8 hours a day.
Hospitality If you like preparing, making, baking, and eating food, the hospitality team is for you! We need team members to help with any food prep and cooking tasks for various breakfasts, lunches and suppers over the New Wine camp. It is always fun and good times in the kitchen with us!
Prayer Ministry It’s not a New Wine event without the opportunity for people to receive prayer ministry. You will be asked to attend a training session held late afternoon on the festival start day and team meetings that are held 45 minutes before each main session (8.15am and 5.45pm)
Stewards Your day could involve anything from directing traffic, to setting up venues, to patrolling the site or checking nametags. This is one of the most hands-on roles with lots of interaction with team and delegates. Smiling is essential! Anticipated time commitment 8 hours a day.
Administration Data entry, registration, serving food, doing dishes, duplicating DVDs, selling resources, hospitality. As part of the admin team you’ll get to meet new people every day and discover how blessed it is to give rather than receive. Anticipated time commitment 8 hours a day.
