Join us for a classic New Wine evening of worship, ministry and teaching. It’s free, it’s family and it’ll be a great night following the Plugged In and Leaders Seminar run earlier that day.
RICHARD BLACK is the founder and Director of Strength to Strength, a counselling and training organisation. He is an ordained minister and a trained counsellor. He works alongside churches providing specialised support for their pastoral care. Through his counselling, training, and public speaking he helps people strengthen their thinking, be proactive in relationships, and succeed with life. He has been involved in pastoral ministry for many years and understands the everyday struggles that people face and the demands on church leaders. Richard’s ‘Just a thought’ segment is broadcast each week on Radio Rhema. As the Chair of the Trustees for New Wine in NZ Richard is passionate about seeing churches fulfil their purpose in God.
Richard will speak from the heart with a talk entitled ‘Confessions of a Reluctant Healer’ to be followed by a time of worship and ministry.
JULIAGRACE is a plucky mother-of-two who embraces her down to earth experience with beautiful songs and sparkling wit, engaging audiences all over the globe.
Playing piano and singing to packed audiences since childhood, Juliagrace’s career has spanned the genres; from her edgier days in electronica group Elevator to her more recent brand of acoustic-tinged folk. Now, drawing on talent honed from years on the stage, she is a successful solo artist in her own right.
Her debut solo album was released in 2005 and caught the attention of music aficionados everywhere, with its strong hooks and musical quirk. Garnering a New Zealand Music Award in 2006 for Best Gospel/Christian Album and four #1 hits on national Christian radio, it repeatedly features on popular Kiwi TV drama Shortland Street.
Her iconic voice has wowed crowds at the Parachute Festivals, and now resonates over a more organic sound than her previous hi-tech samples, with its raw strength and clear tone shining through.
Juliagrace will be telling her story and leading worship for the evening.
