Police Checks

Heya! If you're here that means you're keen to be on team. We're chuffed and can't wait to build something pretty special together this summer.

The New Wine festival is an event where everyone should feel welcome and safe, whether attending, on team, leading or just popping in to check us out. One of the ways we ensure this is through a couple of different police checks depending on your team.

Police Vetting
Preschool, Kids Zone, Our Place, Cutting Edge, Firewire and Media teams are required to complete an online Police vetting form.

Criminal History Check
Admin and Stewards teams are required to complete an online Criminal History Check form.

THREE EASY STEPS AND YOU’RE THERE

1. Gather your identification
Your identification is ideally one of the following:
- NZ Driver’s Licence: current or expired within the last 2 years. (Cannot be a cancelled or temporary licence)
- Passport (NZ or overseas): current or expired within the last 2 years. (Cannot be a cancelled passport)
- New Zealand Firearm Licence: current

Police Vetting also require one of the following:
NZ Certificate of Identity
NZ Driver Licence
18+ card
NZ Full Birth Certificate
Community Services card
SuperGold Card
NZ Employee Photo ID Card
NZ Student Photo ID Card
NZ Teachers Registration certificate

Don't have this ID?
If you don't have any of the approved forms of identification mentioned above, either: take a look at the expanded forms of ID (here on page 6) ask someone to confirm your identity (proof of identity form) or complete a statutory declaration.

2. Copy your ID (Criminal History only)
Ensure it is clear, readable, matches your online form (step 3), shows your name, date of birth, signature and expiry date. Ensure it is a .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .PDF (think photo).

3. Fill in the form linked below (Police Vetting or Criminal History)
